The Patterns Organizer feature allows you to modify patterns from the Film Designs 4 database and save them in a folder of your choice. To enhance organization and accessibility, you can enable the "Colors by Authors" feature to visually distinguish your custom patterns within the Tree View filter.

To set up the “Colors by Authors” feature, go to the Database Access Tool and click on the Tools menu and select Settings.

In the Settings pop-up window, navigate to the "Colors by Authors" tab. By default, the system assigns you the author name as "USER". To apply colors correctly, ensure that you set the color for this author.

Right-click on the USER field and choose the highlighting type you want to apply. For demonstration purposes, select "Select Back Color" to assign a background color to the patterns associated with this author.

Choose your preferred background color from the selection menu, then click OK to apply the changes. You will see that the selected author is now highlighted with the color of your choice. Click Save to apply the changes.

Now, let's proceed with creating a modified pattern. All patterns that you modify will now be highlighted in the Tree View filter, making them easy to identify.

Open the pattern you want to modify. For demonstration purposes, we will make a noticeable change by adding a star to it. However, you can make any modifications as needed. Once you are satisfied with the modifications, click on the File menu and select "Save As" to save the updated pattern.
